Marit Larsen is a Norwegian singer-songwriter and musician. She gained popularity as a member of the pop duo M2M before launching a successful solo career. Larsen began playing piano at the age of five and later learned to play guitar. In 1996, she formed M2M with Marion Raven, and the duo released two albums before splitting up in 2002.
